Drum mutes not working well?
Well they all are except for on the snare. The snare vibrates too much I guess, so the sound is still just as loud and twice as annoying. I've tried messing around with tuning it when I got the drum, and I'm thinking that might have something to do with it. I also don't know if that metal brushy thing on the underside of it has any effect on the sound. (I am new to drums).
The tuning and "metal brushy thing" do effect how it sounds a lot. If your snare drum is done correctly I don't think you will have this problem. Just watch a instructional video.
That sees to be a popular one, I didn't actually check all the way through but it seemed good.
