How do I set a maximum value for data in MySQL?
I'm new to MySQL, and I have to build a table with a column that holds an integer between 0 and 400, but I don't know how to set the maximum value for an integer. How would I go about doing this?
From what I'm seeing in the user manual, you can't set a limit on the value that can be stored (other than by specifying short, long, or bigint as the data type). I think you'll need to have the client code enforce that constraint.
