I'm writing a comparative piece about Brett Whiteley and Frida Kahlo..is this paragraph ok about unity in.?
the broken column by Frida Kahlo, or is it too detailed etc.?
Unity has been formed by using the same pallet of paint throughout the piece; the pinks used for shading of the creases of the sheet have also been used again in the sky. The maximum areas of contrast are in the centre of the portrait, this helps the unity to work well and make the image easy to look at. The viewer is able to see the image as one piece and not in separate elements. All the design elements are used effectively so that they compliment each other rather than compete for attention; unity is therefore created a satisfying and harmonious image.
