High School marching band drumline streetbeat?
I'm a drummer in my HS marching band and the teacher asked me to find/make a new street beat for the drum line for when we are marching in parades and on and off the field. the snare and quad lines are solid but the bass line lacks a little. we have 3 quads, 4 bass drums of varied sizes and 5 snares. It has to have a good rythem and not super difficult.
Well.. you can start by looking at FLAMENCO beats.. Flamenco is a very fast 3/4 beat at 180 beats per minute and with the proper use of DOWN BEAT and BACK BEAT maybe you can experiment and come up with a good street beat at 4/4 that still retains the Flamenco sound... and good luck.
