If you don't like Gene Krupa, you don't like drumming. He was amazing, and a huge influence on many rock/pop drummers.
Peter Criss was good in his day, but didn't look after himself. My wife and I saw KISS in 2002, with the reunite original lineup, and he was a basic backbeat drummer by this point. No awesome "KISS Alive" drum solo on that tour. Carpel tunnel kills drummers. That's why you have to warm up beforehand.
