How can I determine the size of my ear canal for ear plugs?

I need to buy some ear plugs for a concert that I know will be really loud. I have my eyes set on the Etymotic Research ER20 High-Fidelity. They come in two different sizes: standard and baby blue, for smaller ear canals.

I have no idea if my ear canal is standard or smaller in size. Is there a way to determine that? I know that's important when it comes to ear plugs.

I emailed the company and they told me it's difficult to determine that. I'm thinking there must be a way.

Here they are: http://www.etymotic.com/ephp/er20.aspx

I'd appreciate the useful responses. Thanks.

i use these plugs...and I assure you it doesnt really matter much.

but if you are really concerned get the small ones...they "blossom" out enough to work even on normal ear canals.

But they are so cheap...yer gonna want more than one pair anyway.

just order one set of each. Trust me after you use a pair a few months you will lose one and need a new set anyway...so save on shipping. I buy a whole bunch at a time...but you can also get these same kind of plugs from just about any ear plug dealer for better prices. i recommend trying this out:
