What kind of engine kit should I get for my TRX450R?
I was originally thinking of getting my head worked on from CT, a Sonic Grind Cam or the HRC cam and a Yoshimura RS-7 Titanium exhaust and a boyeson quickshot and mabye a Dynatek chip or something. BUT now I am just thinking of getting the HRC kit first wich will put me to 45 hp and then the yoshi k&n setup with jetting. that should put me around 55. But if I were to get the CT kit including the hrc kit, exhaust, chip, intake and quishot, I would get mid 60s horsepower but i dont want to be wrenching on it all the time. I guess my question is should I get the CT top end, Wiseco 13.5:1, dyna tek and boyeson quickshot after i get the HRC and the yoshi k&n setup with jetting.
I think you should just buy a pipe. Many bikes with that kind of stuff break down and you have to buy another engine. I've seen it happen. The bike can't take all the upgrades in area's not upgraded and it shuts down one day. If you're carb is upgraded but you're transimission gets off-set because the tranny isn't meant to go at the certain speed that the engine trying to get it to go. Pro racers do this because they get whatever they need from their sponsors so they don't care if they wreck the bike. The pipe is the last step of the engine so it's not forcing another parts to keep up. It just uses the exhaust coming from the engine to get you going.
